Me and forgetting I have blogs.. season 2016 recap.

Well, I sort of forgot the whole thing with keeping a blog updated. Sort of I want to forget that 2016 ever existed. Year was filled with just endless low points in just every aspect of life.

I even contemplated quiting shooting forever. My handgun game was awful, I hade no energy to train, everything was just *meh*

And the the Norwegian IPSC Rifle Championships took place and everything changed. I went to a small town just north of Narvik in the northern parts of Norway with some of my clubmates. The first day however was a handgun match at the same range as the riflematch and it went AWFUL. I have never had more mikes then that day. I was thinking about just ending competitions and sell all my stuff.

Good thing was, 2 days later, the riflematch started and everything was just fine. I ended up with 21th place in Open division out of ~110. Me and my clubmates took 3rd place team overall, and I was one of just 11 people out of a total of 200+ (in all divisions) that had zero mikes, a big step up.

Either way that saved much of spirit, and I felt back in the game, and back in my life (or so I think of it).

Went to Finland and tried SRA (a IPSC/3Gun type of match) as the first Swedish competitors ever to be allowed to compete. Went shit (shotgun did not work so I blew all the shotgun stages) but my handgun game was suddenly one of the best overall on those stages. Rifle stages however was dominated by the super talanted Finish competitors. Damn, they are good!.

2017 hopefully will be back to biz. Hopefully also the blog updates.

Still Winter, but training continues.

Umeå Indoor was tons of fun. The guys hosting it will throw another indoor competition in April, will be a blast once again.

Being a born again Gymrat also goes quite well. 22.25lbs (11kg) down so far, and I am starting to get into the routine once again.

At the end of June, me and some clubmates will once again go over to Norway, this time for a some Level III Back-to-Back matches. First a Level III Rifle Match, then a Level III Handgun match. When the snow clears from our ranges, then it is practice time :)

First match of the year, UMEÅ Indoor level 1

Small, but fun, match shot in Umeå at their Indoor range. No video footage being filmed was allowed since it takes place at a indoor range also used by the Police Acadamy.

Ended up 3rd in standard, 12th overall out of 30 competitors. Had some small trouble with the Infinity ;( mainly a stovepipe, a massive fail to feed. Still not 100% super happy with the new SVI magazines since they have some gremlins inside them. One can take 21, one takes 20, and one only takes 18...

However, it was a fun day, I clocked the fastest time on one of the 5 stages, and a honarable 4th fastest on the long course (13 paper, 1 plate, 4 NS, and a seriously low kneeling position.) So working out like mad has already started paying off.

Atleast here is a picture of me and a couple of clubmates, yes, I am rocking my hysterical green shorts as always.

Clubmate took both the Standard div win and overall, woop woop.

Some selected matchvideos from EEO 2015

Some more match videos from BSSK's travels to EEO 2015 in the Czech Republic. Long days and extreamly hot weather. First day, 36c, second day 32c and windy (yay), and the last day... nine hours and 40c, needless to say everyone in my squad used up about an litre of water each hour and they pretty much sold out all the mineral water at the matchshop. Still an amazing competition with tons of fun stages. This trip made several of my clubmates leap a notch or five in skillevel as it was go hard or go home :p

This is from day two. Not all the stages, but most of them.

Day 3, for us it was the day with all the long stages, and besides a
few stupid mistakes, the best day out of the 3 for myself.

Day 1 seems to be missing *couch* due to technical *couch* difficulties. Seriously, that day was shit.

Video from 2015, MSS 2015 Settermoen Norway.

Unedited video of all the stages from MSS 2015 in Settermoen Norway from last Summer. Camera was a pair of pivothead glasses, but since they record straight forward as the lens is mounted in the middle of the glasses, sometimes it just tend to show my gun as I tend to pivot my head down to much >.<

Did a couple of stupid mistakes, obviously need more practice with my left hand, aswell as just becoming better at lining up my reddot faster. But this was the first real Open season so there was  much to learn, and much to train.

Oooh, over a year since last time.. Ok, 2016 is going to be more updates.

Yeah, so.. I kind of forgot my blog last year *couch* *couch*

2015 in recap

- EEO 2015, about 389 place out of 730+ competitors overall - tons of fun.
- MMS 2015 Nordic Championship in Production. Best Swedish guy in 12-15th-ish place, but I shot open. Clubmates got Team Bronze in production (wo-ho!!)
- LDS Handgun 1, 5th in open, 8th overall out of 90-ish competitiors.
- LDS Rifle 1, 15th out of 30... Rifle is new and hard >.<

Changed from using a CZ Shadow in Production to a 5" SVI for standard division this fall, first match is in 2 weeks, so that will be fun. Also, new grip added to my Open Gun. Still a few things to fix on that. I would like to get a C-more and a gaspedal for more control, but it works and it goes bang!

Club is now a full Handgun/Rifle/Shotgun, I am also now a full instructor for HRS. I just need to get a shotgun myself, my clubmates has already started preping for Shotgun aswell, but I cannot decide to go for Standard or Open in Shotgun :(

My rifle build is almost 100% done, just a new trigger and everything is a go! Will run x1-4 Vortex optics for this season, my money will be spent on training, matches and more training.

2016 - More training, more matches, more pew pew life. Already 20lbs down since New Year, about 20 more to go to become faster =)

Hohoho, hahaha... long time no update.

Well, as always, I never take the time to update any of my blogs. Time to start again, it is 2015 after all.

Pretty much I am set in gear. (like you ever have enough gear!), but the rifle build is competition ready, but not finished. The Open Gun is going bang, but my CZ Shadow is not ready for Standard divison yet. Still needs new trigger and main springs + a big'o'cleaning.

Other then that, most of the winter and spring will focus on one thing. Getting ready for EEO 2015. Yeah, me and a few clubmates are going to battle it out with 700 of some of the best competitiors, including alot of the World Shoot 2014 winners. I will not be last!
